Yoga Nidra Teacher Training, Weekend Immersion in the House of Dharma Zagreb 12th-13th October 2024 with Shir Shemesh
What is Yoga Nidra?
Yoga Nidra is a yoga practice done lying on the back, while being mentally awake and the body is completely relaxed and motionless. Yoga Nidra was compiled as a simplification of complex Tantric practices, allowing the practitioners to hack their own subconscious mind and to reprogram it as they wish.
The state of mind used in yoga Nidra is somewhere between sleep and wakeful state. This state of mind calls for subconscious and unconscious content to float up to the conscious mind. This process helps us to cleanse any Karmatic impressions, which hold us back from evolving on our spiritual path, being happy in our lives and achieving our goals.
There are many benefits of this exceptional and special yoga practice; physical and mental relaxation, inner sense of peace, relief from anxiety stress and insomnia, activating the parasympathetic nerve system, becoming aware of subtler aspects of our being such as the Chakras and 5 Pranas, deep emotional and Karmatic cleanse, getting rid of addictions, cravings and unwanted habits, manifesting in life our dreams and goals, inducing a profound state of sense withdrawal (Pratyahara) and most importantly evolving rapidly on the spiritual path.
Yoga Nidra is a form of profound self-suggestion or self-hypnotic process. This is very different from normal hypnotic done by another person to you, as in the normal hypnotic the practitioner giving up his own will power and self control to the hands of another. Yoga Nidra can be used for self-empowerment and increasing your willpower and self-control.

About the Teacher:
For Shir, practicing yoga is like going into nature and breathing clean air after staying in the city for too long: “Yoga teaches that there is a lot of peace and joy inside each one of us that doesn’t depend on anything external. Yoga is a spiritual path for my life.”
In his quest of searching more subtle experience of yoga and understanding how to strive towards yoga, Shir looked for a living master. At that time he found his Guru, Sri Dharma Mittra. By meeting him Shir felt that many question marks about how to live yoga fully were answered. That meeting helped Shir to have a rapid progress in his own Sadhana (practice of yoga towards self-realization). Shir completed the advance teacher training with Dharma Mittra, with eternal feeling of gratefulness.
