Bozidar Lelas
Born and raised in Rijeka, but with his arrival to Zagreb, he met yoga. We could say that in 2016 he started his new life, inspired by Dharma yoga and teachings of Sri Dharma Mittra. A year later, he enrolled and completed a yoga teacher training program 200 hrs RYT, and year and a half later also TT 500 hrs of RYT, under the tutorship of Sandra Petra Pintarić. In 2019, his journey leeds him to New York for TT 500 hours RYT, with the master teacher, the great Sri Dharma Mittra, and successfully completes it a year later. In the meantime, he attends several different workshops with internationally recognized Dharma yoga teachers. Aware of the fact that a true teacher never ceases to be a student, he is currently attending another 200-hour yoga teacher training in Točka joge, Ljubljana, under the guidance of the mentor Robert Hohn. He is currently a regular teacher at the Joga Do studio in Ljubljana, as well as at the Ajuryoga center, also in Ljubljana. Although situated in Ljubljana, he is still a visiting teacher in House of Dharma yoga center in Zagreb. The style he practices and cultivates is Dharma yoga, most commonly Vinyasa flow style, approprate to all levels of practitioners. He takes as a great blessing, the opportunity to pass on the acquired knowledge and experience, to anyone who is eager to explore and feel the beauty and power of yoga.
“For more than 7 years, my mind has been trying to find a flaw in the philosophy of Sri Dharma, but only finds evidence for its integrity and beauty. Based on the Vedic scripts, the long tradition of Yogi Gupta's and Kailashananda’s teachings, Patanjali's Sutras, the Hatha Yoga Prandipica wisdom and many others, Dharma Yoga as an eight fold system of yoga, more than anything else, cultivates compassion and devotion.” says Božo.
For him, yoga is a thought that takes him back 5 years, when a smile never left his face all day, after his first encounter with Dharma yoga. It is a thought that restores his sense of gratitude for all the things he has in life, regardless of the attribute or color with which we mark them. That thought reminds him of all the values, knowledge, and patience he had received from his teachers in life, and that he never cease to serve them. And that same thought, every time he think of skipping practice, sits him on the mat and
reminds him that without dedication and continuity, progress is not possible. Likewise, that thought, every time he gets off, brings him back to the path of service and devotion to Him, the Supreme Creator, the Source of all that exists. For him, yoga is thought, word and deed.
