Since 2013, Yiannis traveled the world, sharing what he has learned at the side of his teacher, so more can experience the true essence of yoga.
Under the constant guidance of daily classes with Dharma for over 10 years, Yiannis Mukta Om, received transmission of the teachings of yoga. In 2013, after 10 years of devoted and dedicated daily practice, Yiannis Mukta Om, has been charged with sharing the teachings of Sri Dharma Mittra all over the world.
A devoted student of Self-Realization, as passed down to him directly from Sri Dharma Mittra, Yiannis Mukta Om, embodies the deep inner strength and playful nature of his Guru. Yiannis Mukta Om is continuing his journey as the living example of the true essence of yoga.

Eight Limbs of Yoga with Yiannis
Session One: MASTER CLASS WITH FOCUS ON BACK BENDING
This session covers fundamental tools needed to practice back-bending with precision and confidence. Our first session will start with Purification Sequences, including Pranayama and Meditation, created by Sri Dharma Mittra. This sequence includes ancient pranayama(breath control), visualization and concentration techniques. Pranayama techniques use your breath and your entire respiratory system to purify and strengthen your nerves, leading to greater control of your senses, resulting in a calmer and clearer mind, purifying your physical body and your subtle body of toxic impurities. After preparing your body for the asanapractice, this class progresses to a series of carefully-selected backbends from Sri Dharma Mittra’s Shiva Namaskar Vinyasa sequence. Back-bending postures are an invaluable aid in maintaining full mobility and flexibility of the spine, shoulders, chest and back. They restore youthfulness to your body, helping you feel young.
All levels welcome, as pose modifications will be offered.
Session two: YOGA NIDRA - DEEP RELAXATION PRACTICE
Yoga Nidra is a beautiful, introspective practice that allows the body, mind and soul to rest. It is said that an hour of Yoga Nidra is equivalent to four hours of deep sleep. Yoga Nidra is described as the best antidote for all impurities. It dispels tension and fatigue in the physical body. It also relieves depression, anxiety, craving. while rejuvenating and energizing all your systems – physical and subtle. Bolstering your natural healing capacity, the practice of Yoga Nidra leads to integral purification of all aspects of your Self, on all the physical, energetic, emotional, mental and spiritual levels. Leave this class feeling refreshed and recharged.
Session Three: MASTER CLASS WITH A FOCUS ON INVERSIONS
We begin class with Purification Sequences, including Pranayama and Meditation, created by Sri Dharma Mittra. This sequence includes ancient pranayama (breath control), visualization and concentration techniques. We then progress to a series of Inversions, a speciality of Sri Dharma Mittra’s 50 years of teaching. Learn how inversions, both simple and advanced, can help to increase the flexibility and health of your spine and stimulate your spinal chakras. The benefits of inverted postures include bringing pure oxygenated blood to your brain, heart, pituitary and thyroid glands. These poses strengthen your shoulders, arms and wrists, and bring balance and poise to your body. A regular practice will help increase your mental power and clarity, sharpness and confidence. Personal attention will be given throughout this class, and modifications will be offered for all levels of practitioners.
Session Four: MEDITATION & INNER PRACTICES
Empower yourself through specific breathing exercises, directed visualizations, and powerful mantras to establish perfect psychic rhythm to mental patterns which puts power behind your thoughts making it easier to achieve your goals in life. These ancient techniques have only been passed down by word of mouth from teacher to disciple, and continue to be taught in this way. This special class culminates in a final meditation to manifest your soul’s longings into the world. Yiannis moved to New York from a small island in Greece in 2002. Upon arriving, without knowing anyone, or even how to speak English, Yiannis found his way to his Guru, Sri Dharma Mittra. In the presence of Dharma, Yiannis transformed his life and purified his body and mind, to reveal his true spirit.
